ABOUT

KADE ELLINGER

I was born in 1994 and grew up in Rockton, Pennsylvania, a small, rural town outside of DuBois. I studied graphic arts at Clarion University of Pennsylvania from 2012-2016 and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in graphics. While attending college, I worked as the Graphic Editor of the school newspaper, The Clarion Call, along with achieving the position of curatorial assistant at the Carlson Library Art Gallery. I also had the ability to intern at two locally owned customisable clothing and award storefronts where I learned not only client design, but screenprinting, heat transfer, and laser engraving.

Since my first contact with design software in early 2009, I have been thrilled to design not only digitally, but also through mediums such as ceramics, drawing, oil painting, printmaking, and photography. I begin my personal creations with highly saturated colours and geometric shapes. I also enjoy to explore the relationship between industry and nature and the human connection with colour. When working with clients, I always offer two options; they receive proofs with their vision and also a version of their vision with my design personality.

My biggest reward is seeing commercial products I've created in public with no name or face attached to such. I enjoy creating posters, apparel, banners, signs and other items easily seen by the public eye.

After four years of city-living and working outside of Pittsburgh, I relocated back to the DuBois area. I'm offering freelance design services as well as custom decorated apparel, stickers and small signage.
